Overview
Head of Investor Relations at a growing venture capital firm in Santa Monica leads fundraising strategy, investor engagement, and LP communications as the firm expands its next fund. This role works closely with the Partners to drive capital formation and strengthen relationships across family offices, institutions, and high-net-worth investors.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of the full fundraising process from strategy through close, managing timelines, outreach, and investor deliverables. You will build and maintain LP pipelines, lead structured outreach efforts, and cultivate long-term investor relationships. In addition, you’ll oversee the creation and refinement of investor materials, narratives, and communications tailored to different LP segments, while ensuring all messaging reflects the firm’s broader vision and brand.
You will also play a key role in organizing investor events and brand-building initiatives, from private dinners to larger LP summits and thought leadership campaigns. A data-driven approach to tracking outreach, CRM management, and reporting will be essential to optimizing fundraising performance and maintaining transparency across the team.
The firm is looking for someone with at least five years of experience in fundraising or investor relations, ideally within venture capital, private equity, or a related investment environment. Strong relationship management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage complex processes end-to-end are critical. Experience working with family offices, institutions, and high-net-worth investors, along with comfort using CRM and investor communication tools, will be highly valued.
