Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for Senior Accountant for a part time position for our client in Reno, NV. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment where your expertise in accounting will drive impactful results. You will play a key role in managing financial reporting, improving processes, and supporting audits. This is a part time opportunity around 20 hours a week, interested candidates must have experience with Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate journal entries, financial statements, and balance sheet account reconciliations as part of monthly financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities, including monitoring actuals and developing future budgets.
• Utilize Sage Intacct software to manage accounting tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Ensure timely completion of required filings, such as workers' compensation audits and property tax statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges and streamline workflows.
• Maintain organized records and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is essential.
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and monitoring actuals versus projections.
• Ability to lead audits and manage compliance requirements effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across departments and report directly to leadership.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, ideally within small or agile team environments.
