Position Summary
US Sailing is seeking a senior experienced and analytical accounting professional with strong business acumen and the ability to support our organization's financial operations.
The position will report to the CFO and work with the entire finance team, which consists of 3 full time employees including this position, the CFO, Sr Accountant and Sr Bookkeeper. Duties include analyzing and reporting on financial performance, supporting and educating the operating directors regarding the results of their respective divisions, and driving the timeliness and accuracy of month end close and related financial statements.
The ideal candidate is an independent, resourceful, and detail oriented strategic thinker, who possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and strong leadership skills. This role will require advanced Excel skills, as well as a deep understanding of the financial statements and how they interrelate.
