WHAT WE'RE DOING
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the mechanical systems on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment. In this role, you will provide maintenance engineering support, assist with procedures and inspections, and address air flow and indoor air quality issues.
THE WORK
As a Facilities Operations Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include :
- Mechanical Equipment : Monitor the function, maintenance, and efficiency of all mechanical systems on site, including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment.
- Maintenance Engineering : Assist with locating hard-to-find parts and designing new adapters or mounts for custom configurations.
- Condenser Water Quality : Oversee the condenser water quality of the two central utility plants on a daily basis, using reports from Premier Water Systems.
- Inspection : Conduct annual inspections of HVAC equipment, issuing work orders for necessary repairs and corrections.
- Air Flow : Investigate air flow deficiencies, leaking ducts, and other related issues above suspended ceilings.
- Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) : Work closely with the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) team to address and resolve indoor air quality concerns, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Predesign : Perform heat load calculations, determine placements for cooling units, and route and size ducts and piping for optimal system performance.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) : Write detailed SOWs to ensure project goals are met, in alignment with Facility Design Standards.
- Property Inventory : Perform an annual property inventory, ensuring accurate documentation of assets.

This position is located in Orlando, FL and and is can work from home 25% of the time.
