American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) night shift position requiring a WA or compact RN license and NRP certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a level III NICU within an acute care setting34-bed unit with patient ratios from 1 : 1 up to 1 : 3-4 infantsPatient population includes infants as early as 24 weeks gestation, without surgical, cooling, or ECMO casesUses Epic EMR, experience with Epic preferredSpecialized equipment includes Drager 500 ventilators and Phillips cardiac monitorsShift is 12 hours, nights, with weekend and holiday coverage as neededFloats to Post Partum as requiredNICU charge nurse always on duty, with opportunities for night shift charge traveler rolesProvide intensive care nursing to premature and critically ill neonatesCollaborate with neonatologists, advanced practice providers, and a NICU-specific PICC teamRespiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24 / 7Staff dependent scrub color requiredFloor-specific orientation provided before startingFirst time travelers may be consideredHoliday and extended summer coverage may be needed\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of applicationMinimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience requiredCurrent certifications in BLS and NRP requiredCOVID-19 vaccination requiredExperience with drips such as insulin and dopamineCandidates cannot have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year\n Benefits\n
