Job Details
Depending on level (Attorney vs. Senior), responsibilities adjust — but here’s the core of the work :
Client Work & Strategy
Lead divorce, custody, mediation, and collaborative cases with a calm, strategic approach
Communicate clearly and consistently with clients about goals, expectations, progress, and costs
Develop tailored case strategies rooted in client values, not hostility
Guide clients toward resolution options that minimize unnecessary conflict
Case & Workflow Management
Oversee daily case movement, deadlines, docketing, and time-sensitive tasks
Ensure smooth coordination with paralegals, associates, and support staff
Maintain accurate timekeeping and invoice review
Courtroom, Mediation & Advocacy
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, conferences, and trials
Approach advocacy with professionalism and respect, aligned with the firm’s non-adversarial mission
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with a high-functioning team — communication is everything here
Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals (Senior level only)
Contribute ideas to improve systems, enhance client experience, and strengthen culture
Professional Presence & Growth
Attend networking events and support relationship-building efforts
Maintain ongoing CLE and professional development
Use technology and internal tools to stay organized, consistent, and efficient
