Job Summary (Principal Mechanical Engineer Tampa FL)

• Lead the design of HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for healthcare building projects.
• Establish and build the mechanical engineering team for a growing MEP firm.
• Manage mentor and supervise junior engineers.
• Develop technical deliverables including construction plans and specifications.
• Coordinate project requirements and status updates with clients.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies for local permitting and submission of permit documents.
• Perform construction administration duties such as attending meetings conducting site visits reviewing shop drawings and assisting with change orders and project closeout.
• Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.
• Utilize Revit for design and documentation.
• Possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Preferred : Experience with AHCA and healthcare projects.
