We’re seeking a top-performing Regional Safety Manager to join our team in Beaumont, TX.
This is a management role — ideal for someone with integrity, initiative, and a deep passion for safety. The right candidate will work closely with operations and drivers to continuously elevate safety performance across the region.
Position Summary
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the regional safety program, ensuring compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and HazMat regulations, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all terminals and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of chemical industry and product integrity
- Ensure that all loading, unloading, and transfer procedures meet company and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate chemical compatibility to prevent contamination or reactions in tanks or hoses.
- Respond to Hazmat incidents and oversee cleanup and reporting
- Ensure completion of all driver training programs
- Review and monitor driver MVRs and scorecards for compliance and performance
- Oversee daily driver log compliance and intervene as necessary
- Investigate vehicle accidents, spills, contaminations, and injuries to determine root cause
- File and manage insurance claims, working closely with adjusters for timely resolution
- Communicate effectively with customers during incident investigations
- Build strong professional relationships with drivers to promote a positive safety culture
- Conduct field observations to ensure adherence to company policies
- Assist in creating and delivering safety training materials (videos, PowerPoints, lectures)
- Support hands-on training at the terminal level alongside the Master Driver Trainer
- Maintain a safe, efficient working environment for employees and the public
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sr. VP of Safety
Qualifications
3–5+ years of trucking safety management experience (Bulk Tank experience preferred)Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety and compliance regulationsFamiliarity with HazMat regulations and training requirementsProficiency in electronic logging systemsEffective communication, leadership, and training skillsAbility to create and present materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelHigh level of initiative, organization, and decision-making in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel regionally several times per quarterMust pass background checkEducation & Work Environment
