Role and Responsibilities
Job duties consist of but are not limited to :
- Communicates, trains, guides and coaches employees to achieve operational initiatives that optimize team efforts in the manufacturing of high quality products.
- Evaluates interpersonal skills, provides feedback and recommends methods to improve interpersonal communications.
- Schedules and assigns personnel to work according to the demand of the manufacturing schedules.
- Continually assesses the limitations of equipment capacity and materials supply to directly adjust personnel for optimization of manufacturing output.
- Assesses each employee's abilities and skills to match with capabilities required for each area of the manufacturing floor.
- Continuously monitors and tracks output, manufacturing processes, labor efficiencies, direct operating expenses and quality indicators for assigned cost centers.
- Measures performance and quality, driving positive results in operational Key Process Indicators.
- Establishes and builds working relationships with other departmental personnel, such as Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Planning and Quality to meet production schedules.
- Meets regularly on a formal basis with the Director of Production / QC to review production results and improve priorities.
- Processes and troubleshoots injection molding machines based on material and part being produced.
Job Requirements
3-5 years supervisory experience with ability to work off shift.Plastic injection molding processing experience is a plus.Manufacturing / Plant experience working with Plastic components.Time management and strong communication with follow through.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
This is a physically demanding and safety-sensitive position, which requires employees to move throughout the plant and to use ladders to climb onto presses. The individual will require some, if not all, of the following qualifications to support this position.
Ability to attend and pass towmotor safety program.Familiar with the technology associated with injection molding is a plus.Must be familiar with molding machines and auxiliary equipment is a plus.Ability to perform and complete mold changes.Must have good work habits and the ability to reason.Must be able to lift equipment and materials on a frequent and recurring basis up to 50 pounds.Must maintain an acceptable absentee level and be able to work overtime as required.
