Automotive Contract Clerk

Overview

The Automotive Contract Clerk performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with vehicle documentation, such as New and Used car deals, Dealer Trades, Reconciliation of Schedules, Pay Offs, Posting EFT's, etc. This position will handle primarily Used Car Contracts.

The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification) and at least 1 year of experience as a contract clerk. He or she can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment handling multiple projects and must have excellent communication, administrative, organizational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing vehicle sales transactionsVerifying information for the accounting department
• Breaking down deal paperwork and submitting finance contracts to banks.
• Ensure contracts are paid in a timely manner.
• Reporting new sales transactions.
• Processing registrations for vehicles and submitting all information to DMV.
• Maintaining a list of all outstanding titles and reporting status to department managers.
• Generate and maintain the salesperson's commission reports and list of commissions on hold.
• Preparing payoff checks for trade-ins and applying for titles as needed.
• Maintaining clean schedules appropriate for job duties.
• Provide administrative support to management, other departments and employees as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Accounts payable and receivable experience a plus.
• ADP Drive System and DMV desk experience a plus
