The City of McMinnville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Basketball Scorekeepers for the upcoming youth and adult basketball leagues. Scorekeepers are responsible for accurately recording game scores, fouls, and other statistics while maintaining an organized and professional score table.

Minimum Requirements

• Be knowledgeable of basketball rules of the league and able to apply them fairly.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate clearly with referees, coaches, and players.

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Prior experience keeping score or working in recreational sports preferred, but training will be provided.

Must pass a background check prior to employment.

Job Functions

Operate scoreboards and maintain official game score sheets.

Track points, fouls, timeouts, and player participation.

Assist referees and league supervisors in verifying scores and resolving discrepancies.

Maintain professionalism and impartiality during all games.

Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled shifts.

Report any incidents or equipment issues to the League Supervisor.
