American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and a current BLS certification for a primary inpatient role.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital in the Occupational Therapy Acute Care unitPatient populations include cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, medicine, trauma, surgical, and oncology casesMonday through Friday day shift, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with a flexible start time up to 8 : 00 AMOne weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is required per 4-week period with a weekday off as compensationFloating within all therapy service lines within the hospital may be requiredNo floating to sister facilitiesPrimary focus is inpatient careEPIC charting system is used and experience is requiredSpecialized equipment includes SPH equipment, vital carts, IPAD interpreters, and ADL suppliesEstablish and implement treatment plans considering discharge needs and expected functional statusEducate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing referrals as neededDelegate appropriately to assistants and techs according to skill level and patient needsComplete documentation in accordance with departmental policiesScrub color is black or greyModules and fit testing may be required during pre-employment orientationPermanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerStandard travelers may remain for an 18-month assignment with a 3-month break required afterwardAllied travelers may stay 12 months with a required 6-month break afterWeekend rotation is required per hospital policyParking information is provided during orientation\n \n Requirements\n
