Role Overview :
The Florida DCF is seeking an experienced Network Engineer (Advanced) to support the daily operations, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in enterprise networking, cloud networking, security, and VOIP systems, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate with technical teams to plan, forecast, and identify resource requirements for network systems, including wireless networks of moderate complexity.
Design, develop, and integrate network architectures and engineering solutions.
Implement and maintain enterprise network systems, including Cisco, Palo Alto, and VOIP platforms.
Deploy and manage cloud networking configurations across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
Monitor network performance, tune systems, and provide recommendations for optimization.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, standards, and best practices.
Ensure network compliance with organizational policies, technical standards, and security protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues with minimal downtime.
Support outage recovery and performance optimization efforts.
Lead integration of new applications and systems into the network.
Manage cloud networking environments and ensure secure access to cloud services.
Implement and administer VOIP systems to maintain high-quality voice communications.
Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and certifications.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience.
CCIE Enterprise or CCNP Enterprise certification required.
Preferred Certifications :
AWS Certification
Azure Certification
Palo Alto Certification
Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of Cisco LAN / WAN and routing equipment
LAN / WAN technologies, DHCP, DNS, TCP / IP, SSL, VPN, and routing protocols
Windows 10 / 11, Windows Server 2012-2022
Network troubleshooting and mainframe emulation tools
Cisco Meraki appliances and dashboard management
Python scripting and automation (highly preferred)
Ability to develop upgrade and implementation plans and execute changes with project teams
