Our client is a global leader in premium consumer products. Their team is now looking for a Logistics Systems Specialist.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $29/hr
Position Overview:
The Logistics Systems Specialist will ensure smooth and accurate order flow between internal systems and external logistics partners. This position plays a critical part in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the data exchange processes that support timely and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate has experience with EDI transactions, ERP and OMS systems, and is passionate about using technology to improve logistics performance.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Systems Specialist:
- Monitor and maintain the flow of order data between company systems and third-party logistics providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing.
- Support the implementation and integration of a new Order Management System (OMS) and assist with ERP updates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Analyze system performance to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and system interactions.
- Utilize Power BI, Excel (macros), and basic Python scripting for reporting and automation.
Required Experience/Skills for the Logistics Systems Specialist:
- Familiarity with ERP, OMS, WMS, and TMS systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for process improvement.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (macros), and basic Python for reporting/automation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Logistics Systems Specialist:
- Experience with system transition projects is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
