Unarmed Security Guard - Retail Site
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the premises. You will interact with guests and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a welcoming environment.Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and addressing unauthorized access as needed.Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any concerns to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives.Collaborate with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide assistance as needed.What We're Looking For :

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.A guard card or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
