Document Control Specialist

Whenassigned to a construction project, the Document Controls Specialist will report to the Document Control Manager and Business Services Manager or Office Manager, or their designated delegate. Coordinates the completion, tracking, delivery, organization and management of all project documents.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.

Major Duties & Responsibilities :

• Responsible for coordination with necessary parties to make sure document edits are made and proofed and / or submitted in a timely manner to meet set deadlines and project requirements.
• Implements and maintains standardized document control procedures to ensure consistent management and traceability of all project documentation. Utilize Procore for tracking, and managing project documents, submittals, RFIs, and drawing logs.
• Follows standardized procedures to track and keep records of documents.
• Provides consistent updates on project relevant documentation / submittal KPIs / R
• Ensures document tracking / version control and production system is maintained for all forms of documentation.
• Makes copies of drawings for project operations team and other company employees as requested.
• Assures that all completed documents have been signed-off by the authorized personnel.
• Understands project milestones and ensures timely distribution of documents to the appropriate personnel on the team, including external stakeholders.
• Implements and follows company quality assurance program procedures.
