Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team. You'll represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers before the New York Workers' Compensation Board, while managing your own caseload and developing litigation strategy. What You'll Do Attend hearings before the NY Workers' Compensation Board Conduct depositions of IME and treating physicians Draft appeals, rebuttals, and summations Develop negotiation strategies and settle claims Communicate case updates to clients and adjusters Prepare witnesses and strategize for favorable outcomes What We're Looking For Required : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar Experience in NY workers compensation law 3+ years' experience in a law firm setting Ability to manage cases from start to finish Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills Preferred : Knowledge of NY Workers' Compensation Law Experience in workers' compensation defense Skills That Matter Client service mindset Time and case management Strong collaboration and communication Critical thinking and legal strategy In Your First 6 Months, You Will : Build strong knowledge of NY Workers' Compensation procedures Develop confidence representing clients before the Board Manage your own caseload with growing autonomy Strengthen relationships with clients and colleagues Make a measurable impact on client outcomes Why Join Us Be part of a modern firm reimagining workers' comp defense Work in a supportive, team-driven culture Learn from some of the most respected attorneys in the field Contribute from day one and grow your legal career Apply today to join a firm with over a century of success and a future focused on innovation.
