Inventory Control Specialist - Knightdale, NC
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy and the flow of material to support PCX manufacturing. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within PCX by ensuring a cycle count process is in place and utilized. The Inventory Control Specialist monitors inventory levels and product movement and alerts purchasing and production of potential shortages. The Inventory Control Specialist will utilize electronic systems to ensure system inventory accuracy.
A Day In The Life
Key Responsibilities :
- Listens and follows directions from warehouse supervisor
- Manages material flow to and from manufacturing / production
- Collaborates with production teams to determine priorities and communicate those priorities to the warehouse team
- Create and maintain material pull sheets
- Review material requests and issue requests to warehouse personnel
- Develops and implements inventory control procedures including cycle count procedures and best practices
- Coordinates and completes inventory cycle counts, reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Ensures inventory issued and consumed is properly transacted in electronic system daily
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Assist with annual and as needed PI (physical inventory)
- Creation and maintenance of inventory SOPs and work instructions
- Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements. Wears required PPE at all times.
- Safely work with all equipment, machines, and tools required for job completion.
- Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
- Follows department processes and procedures
- Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
- Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
- Able to lift 50# consistently
- Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required

Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or inventory related field required.Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment working in receiving or inventory control.Strong interpersonal skills for developing and functioning in a team environment.Strong written and verbal communication skillsMS Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)SAP experience preferred
