Engineering Product Manager
Trillium Professional has a long-term opportunity in Sterling Heights, MI for an Engineering Product Manager.
Responsibilities to Anticipate / Expect :
- Possess, understand and apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of project management to plan and execute engineering projects
- Generate and execute project plans and integrated schedules
- Establish funding mechanisms to facilitate work scope
- Forecast and maintain project demand files
- Establish & utilize metrics to drive and monitor project performance
- Facilitate and support technical and programmatic events
- Lead vehicle system-level design, integration, build, and test activities
- Represent the project and engineering organization to leadership and our customers
- Participate as a member of the program team leading the effort to success
- Prepare bids and provide bid support for any applicable RFI or proposal efforts
- Serve as a primary technical interface for internal & external customers
- Coordinate incoming problem reports for prioritization and processing
- Support change processing metrics through tracking, measuring and managing aging issues to resolution
- Evaluate and disseminate customer comments to proposed changes for immediate action
- Propose / assess process improvements to increase through-put of design updates and customer satisfaction
- Teamcenter experience
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) system Risk Management
Pay rate is $75 / hour.
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field. Other degrees will be considered with relevant experience.Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experienceProject Management experience a must (5 years plus)PMP certification, a plusMinimum of 5 years of experience with Department of Defense or similar industry desiredProven ability to effectively manage in an indirect leader roleProven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationshipsDemonstrated ability to form and lead teamsExperience in leading design, development and integration of complex systemsProven leadership skills and competenciesAbility to assess technical risk and develop corrective actions and / or mitigation plansMust have excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Windows XP and Microsoft Office with adequate computer skills to manage the development of presentations and other methods of media displayMust have strong oral and written communication skillsMust have excellent business acumen and negotiating skillsAbility to travel as needed as some traveling may be requiredTrillium has been recruiting and placing clerical and office professionals for over 30 years.
