We are seeking a talented and experienced Compliance Lawyer to join our legal team and support our expanding business in the United States. This position can be based in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Location : Parsippany, NJ or Louisville, KY

Job Description :

In this critical role, you will be responsible for advising on a broad range of compliance and regulatory matters across Midea's Business, with a focus on upholding Midea's commitment to integrity, transparency, and operational excellence. You will work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, audit, and business leadership to develop, implement, and enhance compliance programs that support sustainable growth and mitigate legal and reputational risks.

Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice on compliance issues including Product Safety, anti-corruption (FCPA, UK Bribery Act), trade controls, competition / antitrust, data privacy, and corporate governance.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Midea's compliance policies, training, monitoring, and reporting systems.
• Investigate and respond to alleged violations of company policy or the law, including conducting internal investigations and coordinating with internal audit or external counsel as needed.
• Collaborate with business units and corporate teams to ensure adherence to global compliance frameworks and regional regulations.
• Partner with the compliance function to design and deliver training sessions and internal communications to raise compliance awareness.
• Monitor regulatory trends and advise leadership on emerging risks and potential business impact.
• Participate in due diligence and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures from a compliance perspective.
• Represent MIDEA before regulatory authorities and manage responses to government inquiries, audits, and investigations as necessary.
