Compensation Accounting Analyst – 12-Month Contract (Potential to Convert) | New York, NY | Hybrid

Overview :

A global investment and financial services firm is seeking a Compensation Accounting Analyst to join its Finance team on a 12-month contract , with potential to transition to a permanent hire. This role will support all aspects of compensation accounting for U.S. operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional with 1–2 years of experience and strong Excel skills to further develop their career within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure the integrity of compensation-related P&L and balance sheet accounts through accurate monthly postings, reviews, and reconciliations.
• Calculate and post monthly bonus accruals , reviewing forecasts and adjusting as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Compensation Accountant and other stakeholders to resolve open items and ensure timely closeout of all matters.
• Assist in preparing management reporting and analytics on broker and desk performance.
• Monitor and report compensation-related foreign exchange exposure .
• Support audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Contribute to process improvements by updating and documenting accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate monthly and quarterly P&L commentary and reporting for global analytics teams.
