Job Details :

Work in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at community hospital

Patient ratios of 4 : 1 for days, nights, and weekends

Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Self-scheduling format

72-hour orientation period

Float within scope if needed

Care for patients of all age groups : adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Work with daily census of 44 patients in 54-bed unit

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS

EPIC charting experience required

VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal

Minimum 2 years of experience required

BSN preferred

Community hospital experience preferred

Must complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 6 hours)

Natural nail policy enforced

Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, and wound care

Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
