Senior Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Westborough, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for accuracy and a strong understanding of financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting organizational compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and budget-to-actual analyses.
- Manage cash flow activities, such as daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations.
- Review accounts payable invoices to ensure proper coding and authorization.
- Record bi-weekly payroll transactions, monitor hours, and conduct payroll analyses.
- Oversee monthly accounts receivable reporting and ensure timely communication with banks.
- Coordinate contract and lease renewals, including amendments and compliance schedules required by funding sources.
- Assist in the preparation of audit materials, tax filings, and related reports required by external auditors.
- Prepare annual reports, government surveys, Certificates of Good Standing, and other compliance documents.
- Support the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Handle insurance policy renewals for client companies and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance, or an Associate's degree with five years of relevant experience.At least two years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Familiarity with NetSuite software is preferred.
