Job Title : Civil Estimator

Job Location : Jacksonville, FL

Salary : $100k-140k

Requirements : 5+ years civil estimating experience, FDOT experience required, HCSS HeavyBid and Bid2Win highway preferred. Industrial Estimating Experience also preferred.

Position Overview

The Civil Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of projects by providing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles to ensure that bids are competitive and reflect the true cost of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various civil construction projects, including heavy highway, industrial, water, wastewater, and marine works.
• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive bids.
• Utilize estimating software such as B2W, Bid2win, HCSS, and HeavyBid to streamline the estimating process.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
• Review and assess project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• Monitor and update bid prices based on market trends and material costs.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project scope and requirements.
