Job descriptionHigh School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelors degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field; GIS Certificate; or at least 2 years of full-time GIS work experience required Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; ArcGIS Pro experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required Knowledge of power distribution systems preferred Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) a plus Strong teamwork and communication skills required Full-time, 40 hours per week, MondayFriday Flexible scheduling with 8- or 10-hour shifts; typical hours between 7 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM Primarily office-based, with flexibility for remote work after an initial training period Remote work requires a reliable broadband internet connection capable of supporting VPN and remote desktop use Candidates must live within commuting distance to the office for training, meetings, and occasional onsite work Mid-Senior level Contract Information Technology IT Services and IT Consulting
We are seeking a GIS Technician to support the input, processing, and maintenance of distribution lines and equipment assets within an ESRI GIS database. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in both office and remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Input, update, and maintain distribution line and equipment asset data in ESRI GIS systems
- Ensure accuracy and quality control of GIS data
- Support mapping, analysis, and reporting needs for distribution infrastructure
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and goals
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development related to GIS tools and distribution systems
