THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the Naval Special Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC-PD) in San Diego, CA . The Technician will provide full-time onsite contracted support to NSWCPD.

This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing, with an expected start in early January 2026. We are conducting preliminary, “contingent” hiring for roles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.

Typical Responsibilities : May include (but are not limited to) the following actions :

• Provide DRS support in the development and updating of Propulsion, Power and Diesel Engines Systems technical and ILS documentation.

Technical and logistics documentation to be updated includes but is not limited to :

Location :  Primarily onsite at THOR Local office in San Diego, CA.

Travel : Up to 25% travel anticipated, for 1-2 week durations, to CONUS and OCONUS locations including : Philadelphia, PA, Beloit, WI, Detroit, MI, Peoria, IL, Washington DC, Norfolk, VA, Mayport, FL, San Diego, CA, Everett, WA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Bahrain, Sasebo, Japan, Yokosuka, Japan, Singapore, and various Naval facilities and ship new construction yard facilities.

Typical Physical Activity : Primarily desk / computer work in an office environment. May involve : repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront / shipboard environments. May involve : traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.

Typical Pay Range : The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $36.72 - $43.20 / hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.

US Citizenship Required :   Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9 / E-Verify at the start of employment.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required :  This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either
