New York Licensed Corporate Counsel

A company is looking for a Corporate Counsel to lead its legal function and advise senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary legal advisor on corporate governance, risk management, and business strategy

Advise HR on employment law and manage employment-related claims

Oversee litigation portfolio and develop enterprise risk management strategies

Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar membership in New York State or eligibility for In-House Counsel registration

5+ years of progressively responsible legal practice experience

Substantial experience with M&A, complex commercial transactions, and securities law compliance

Business acumen to provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice

Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively
