Position : Quality Control Technician / Manufacturing Quality Technician

Location : Santa Clara, CA, 95054

Duration : 6 Months

Job Type : Temporary Assignment

Work Type : Onsite

Shift Timings : Monday to Friday from 08 : 00 AM to 05 : 00 PM

Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing inspections on preproduction materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. The role involves documenting nonconformances, maintaining inspection records, collaborating with manufacturing and quality engineering teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and hands-on experience with quality tools and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on preproduction materials and finished products according to lot requirements.
  • Record nonconformances and assist with Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
  • Prioritize and complete inspections within established timelines.
  • Communicate inspection results and quality issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow and enforce safety, health, business, and quality procedures.
  • Manage and maintain inspection records, reports, and metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality projects.
  • Attend daily tier meetings, stage-gate reviews, and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineering to define and implement inspection criteria and processes.
  • Support investigations of customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with potential floor and ladder activity.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and movement required.
  • Extended periods of work at a computer station.
  • Required Skills

  • An Associate of Science degree or a technology-related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality inspection or manufacturing assembly.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and customer service.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience with Agile PLM and ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and wiring schematics.
  • Skilled in using inspection tools (microscopes, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

    Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities.
