Senior Network Engineer

Position Description : Senior Network Engineer :

Senior working with a diverse team of analysts, linguists, cultural experts, and operations officers, focused on creating and recognizing targeting opportunities and strategies in the cyber-realm.  Responsible for supporting a variety of networks & systems in a mission-critical enterprise environment.  Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team, without a constant management presence.  Works in a team of various government, subcontractor, and contractor personnel.

Required Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience :

• Security+ or CISSP certification on day one.
• Working knowledge of TCP / IP, network infrastructure, and networked appliances, to include administrative access and configuration experience.  MUST be fully conversant in the OSI model.
• Advanced Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server and Workstation, to include systems administration, troubleshooting, and bare metal installation using a variety of media.
• Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift is highly desired.
• Experience with utilizing Digital Certificates for authentication.
• Experience with web servers, to include the use of SSL / TLS security.
• Experience with Splunk log analysis software.
• Experience with Solar Winds network management / monitoring software.
• Knowledge of Guacamole is highly desired.
• Any experience with Artificial Intelligence is helpful, but not required.
• Knowledge of data center construction and systems is helpful.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems issues in real time, without causing additional downtime.
• Knowledge of printers, networked print queues, and basic maintenance.
• Knowledge of rules and procedures for handling government classified and proprietary information, and experience working within a secure facility.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to defuse situations, and to deal with individuals who might not fully understand the technology they are.
• Experience with Military operations, including flag officer courtesy and rank structure.
• Ability to understand, observe, and adhere to a chain of command is a MUST.
