Relief Mental Health was founded in February of 2020. Within these 5 years, we have expanded to 12 new offices across Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and now Colorado! We aim to create a new standard for mental health care, offering a continuum of innovative therapeutic interventions and responding to evolving patient needs.
Job Summary :
The clinical assistant will be working closely with the Mental Health Provider to perform basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing (urine drug screens and pregnancy tests) and other patient care. The ideal candidate is a compassionate person who pays attention to detail and is eager to assist patients and families.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver a high level of professionalism, empathy, and compassionate support and assistance to all of our patients, their families, and colleagues
- Greet and assist visitors and patients as they arrive at the office
- Review all patient paperwork for completion and accuracy
- Provide and score assessments to patients, including effectively administering a C-SSRS assessment as needed
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients, including answering phone calls, voicemails and emails from patients
- Complete daily clinical tasks, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, entering patient demographics and data into the EHR system, billing, notes, and patient medical record maintenance, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of office, as well as preparation and upkeep of the examination / treatment rooms
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Assist providers with performing point of care testing (urine drug screens and pregnancy tests), collecting vital signs, and other patient care
- Assist providers with pharmacy calls regarding prescription questions and issues
- Assist with prior authorizations for medications
- Assist with other administrative tasks, such as printing, faxing, and shredding documents, ordering and properly documenting inventory, etc.
- Follow all company protocols and procedures to ensure consistency in care across all clinics, maximize efficiency and meet required deadlines
- Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA
- Assist with other various tasks as delegated by the Provider(s), Clinic Manager, or Regional Director of Operations
- Work flexible hours that include nights and / or weekends
- Cross train in the administration of TMS to provide coverage as needed
