Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES) , an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks an Environmental Technician to support groundwater investigation and treatment sites in the Houston area.

Position Expectations :

Executes, supervises, and documents field aspects of environmental monitoring, site assessment, remediation, and construction activities, which includes, but is not limited to :

• Applying mechanical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as transfer pumps, flowmeters, filters, and other monitoring equipment.
• Using precision measuring equipment and various hand and power tools.
• Documenting and supervising various trade contractors (i.e. excavation, construction, carbon changeout services, waste disposal).
• Performing general labor, plumbing repairs, and construction duties based on the project requirements.
• Working with groundwater wells, piping and electric well pumps.
• Completing groundwater sampling using bailer and low flow methods.
• Maintaining equipment calibration logs.
• Recording field data to the specific task performed at each site location.
• Submittal of field data via email using a GES-owned computer.
• Performing system sampling and transporting water samples to the laboratory as needed.
• Following GES engineering, construction, and O&M policies and procedures.
• Adhering to GES Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities.
