Position Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work on a variety of projects including roadway projects, surface water management studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage analysis and design, flood studies, and bridge hydraulics.
  • Prepare hydraulic and hydrology studies, drainage areas maps, storm sewer networks, stormwater management facilities, drainage reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for highway and site civil.
  • Prepare and submit local, state and / or federal stormwater permit applications for highway design and site / civil design projects.

Qualifications :

  • Educational - Bachelor's degree in engineering required; civil engineering degree preferred.
  • Experience - A minimum of 5 years of drainage design experience for highway and / or site civil projects required; Florida DOT drainage experience is highly preferred. Experience with StormWise (formerly ICPR), HEC-RAS, or other similar hydrologic / hydraulic analysis design software for highway and / or site / civil projects.
  • Licenses & Certifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Technical Skills & Knowledge - Proficiency in MicroStation, ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software.
  • Project & Client Management- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, effective time management
  • Leadership - Excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, strong work ethic.
