Assistant Vice President, Underwriting Manager
Location : Overland Park, KS
Manage staff of underwriters and support staff in the Transactions Department which processes and underwrites borrower requests for assumptions, modifications, waivers and consents. The requests underwritten pertain to commercial mortgage loans serviced by the Company and may range from simple transactions involving one property to highly complex transactions involving subordinate debt and multiple properties. Transactions recommended for approval must conform to the terms of existing loan documents and loan servicing agreements.
Essential Job Functions
The Manager - Asst. Vice President oversees a staff comprised of underwriters and support staff. Responsible to monitor the individual capacity and expertise of direct reports in assigning new borrower requests for processing. Will handle the review of underwriting packages annually and manage the risk associated with each transaction prior to signing under his / her delegated authority or presentation to authorized signers for approval. In addition to managing staff, Manager - Asst. Vice President may also underwrite some direct assignments. Ownership to communicate with borrowers, attorneys, real estate investors, internal staff, other loan servicers and rating agencies to process and close each transaction. The Manager - Asst. Vice President establishes and maintains performance standards which manage operational risk and satisfy industry and contract requirements. The Manager will train or oversee the training if new staff and ongoing training of existing staff, as needed.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $79,000.00 to $146,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
