US Tax Compliance & Reporting Analyst - Loveland, CO Or Deerfield, IL

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Manager, US Tax, the Analyst, Compliance & Reporting US Tax is a key member of the team responsible for Nutrien\'s US tax compliance.
• Collect data required for compliance and collaborate with multiple accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate tax information reporting.
• Prepare and maintain working papers supporting federal Schedule M's, state apportionment, and state modifications.
• Respond to tax notices and assist with other tax-related duties as assigned.
• Support US tax compliance activities, including : calculating and processing estimated tax payments and extensions; providing financial information for annual reports; processing returns through OneSource Income Tax; researching tax questions; pursuing tax planning opportunities; reconciling financial and tax data; completing tax basis balance sheets and rate reconciliations.
• Analyze complex tax scenarios with available resources to ensure proper tax effects are recorded.
• Coordinate and assist with federal and state income tax audits.
• Support process improvements using technology and data management tools.
• Collaborate with broader Finance & Accounting teams in Loveland, Deerfield, Calgary, and Saskatoon.
• Build and maintain relationships with US external stakeholders including outside advisors, external auditors, governmental tax auditors, and tax associations.
• Complete other job responsibilities as required.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role in Loveland, CO is $79,100 – $135,500. This range is general guidance and may vary based on factors such as candidate skills, experience, location, and business needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ by location.

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan, subject to program terms and company and individual performance. Details will be discussed in the application process.
