PICU RN Travel Job Details Job Title : PICU Registered Nurse (Travel Nursing) Location : Columbus, Ohio 43205 Contract Length : 8 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,430 – $2,490 Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 19 : 30), 36 hours / week Unit : Critical Care PICU Float Pool Holiday Requirement : Must start by 12 / 1; no RTO during contract Patient Population : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience (current pediatric ICU experience required) Active Ohio RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Proficient with EPIC EMR (self-rate at least 3 / 4) Ability to float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units Two professional references required (one from manager / supervisor) First-time travel nurses considered with 3 years of experience and Level 1 Trauma experience No prior permanent employment at this facility within the past 2 years Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of Columbus, OH (no local candidates) PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU and other assigned units Float as needed to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and MedSurg units, adapting to diverse clinical needs Perform advanced clinical tasks : ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring Administer medications, blood products, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions Conduct pediatric dosage calculations, wound care, and infection control procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system Maintain compliance with facility float expectations and patient safety protocols Ready to take the next step in your PICU nursing career?
