Heavy Equipment Mechanic

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing diverse and complex duties requiring a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently and simultaneously. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities :

• Operates heavy equipment such as motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, excavators, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, cranes and large industrial tractors with attachments. Equipment is used to grade, contour, excavate, load or move dirt, gravel or other materials.
• Must be able to read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans.
• Perform and document pre-operational / post-operational checks of equipment
• Perform minor maintenance (grease, adjustments) and make minor emergency repairs to equipment
• Other duties as assigned.
