Billing Analyst

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Billing Analyst to work in the Columbus, OH, area.

Job Summary

The Billing Analyst is responsible for billing operations, analysis, and customer service for large accounts. The Analyst will liaise with utilities and internal / external customers to resolve routine and complex billing questions, ensuring on-time and accurate billing.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

• Verify accuracy of billing data and analyze individual accounts, making independent decisions regarding billing activities.
• Serve as the primary contact for large account billing management, communicating proactively with Sales and Customers.
• Identify billing discrepancies, determine root causes, and resolve errors.
• Create manual invoices at a detailed customer level, ensuring data integrity.
• Review, analyze, and resolve unbilled cycles.
• Communicate with utilities to troubleshoot issues and verify data.
• Collaborate with IT to improve system-driven automation.
• Update and generate reports accurately; analyze and draw appropriate conclusions.
• Comprehend and interpret EDI.
• Ensure SOX compliance and participate in the monthly close process.
• Work closely with the Pricing team to understand pricing components and ensure billing processes remain aligned with market or utility changes.
• Ensure high-level customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Maintain documented processes and training materials.
