50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE Unit L&D / PP / MB Miscellaneous Info & Examples if Needed # L&D Beds 4 # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? yes only c-sections are done on the unit, we pre-op, circulate, and post-op our own c-sections # Triage beds 2 semi private room # Postpartum beds 6 with 3 addition swing beds on the pediatric side # Births per day? Month? Year? 1 a day / 30-50 a month / 450 year Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? yes when we can Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS, NRP Common diagnoses / Types of patients normal vaginal deliveries, repeat c-sections, preeclampsia, diabetes, inductions Experience or 'Must have' skills labor experience with cervical exam and fse / iupc placement L&D and MB / PP is all on the same unit. Staff would be assigned to any of these patients. Staffing would look like the following : 1 RN Nursery, 1 RN PP, 2 RN Labor, 1 RN Peds / GYN. Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable & / or set rate drips pitocin, insulin, heparin Charge Nurse / House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge nurse around the clock, does take an assignment Are there nurse aids / surgical techs on this unit? no the main OR supplies a surg tech and first assist for all of our cases. After hours and weekends they are on-call OB / Neonatologist in house 24 / 7? no Anesthesia in house 24 / 7? yes, CRNAs RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) not on unit, but available vented patients would go to our CCU Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? no, no EFM System CPN Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) mostly block scheduling Weekend Requirements every other Holiday Requirements group a and a group b Is there a call or standby requirement? no when we need to staff down, we place staff on-call at home Floating Requirements? no Scrub Color / Dress code we utilize purple hospital laundered scrubs
