Details :

PTS Advance is looking for a Control System Engineer with hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus.

The position will be based in Concord, CA. and the job site is in Richmond, CA.

Local candidates only. 9 / 80 Schedule. Length of position could go 6 months to a year or longer.

Responsibilities

? Support the CSA / CSE team with PLC and Operator Interface (OIT) assets across the refinery.
? Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView systems.
? Manage and update PLC software, licensing, and version control on support laptops / desktops.
? Maintain an accurate installed base inventory of PLC types, versions, and spare parts.
? Contribute to PLC lifecycle projects with onsite data collection.
? Provide on-call support as part of the rotating CSA / CSE schedule.

Skills & Qualifications

? Hands-on experience with Rockwell PLCs (SLC, ControlLogix) and PanelView Plus.

? Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including program upload / download.

? Working knowledge of communication protocols : Data Highway Plus, Ethernet / IP, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP.

? Experience with Prosoft communication cards and gateways.

? Familiarity with FactoryTalk AssetCentre, Rockwell / Siemens VFDs (preferred).

? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

? Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Work Environment

? Onsite position in Richmond, California, operating on a 9 / 80 schedule.

? Must hold a valid driver's license.

? Participation in after-hours support rotation with CSA / CSE team members.

? Safety and compliance awareness required in all refinery operations.
