Summary
We are seeking a Population Health and Clinical Applications Support Specialist to provide vital support for EMR systems, quality reporting programs (including CMS MIPS, HCC, HEDIS, STAR, and P4P), and clinical process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a key resource to physicians and staff, delivering training, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to data and operational enhancements across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary support resource for over 100 physician offices for assigned clinical and quality-related projects.
- Provide frontline helpdesk support to physician offices; escalate feedback and technical issues as needed.
- Conduct individual and group training sessions for end users on EMR systems and quality programs.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials, user guides, and internal documentation.
- Assist with maintaining and updating reports related to productivity, quality metrics, and project tracking.
- Support identification of opportunities for process improvement in patient flow and clinic operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance population health initiatives and system efficiencies.
- Participate in various clinical and population health projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Travel onsite to physicians' offices as needed for training, support, and troubleshooting (local travel required).
Qualifications
1-2 years experience in working in a healthcare setting with exposure to EMR systems and medical terminology.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Skilled in spreadsheet manipulation, report creation, and data tracking.Strong public speaking and presentation abilities, including training small and large groups.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.Strong organizational skills and attention to details.Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.Ability to collaborate with other team members effectively.Strong knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Associate's or Bachelor's degreeValid California Driver's License and access to reliable transportation for local travelPHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing desk-based tasks.Frequent use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone for data entry and communication.Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching to retrieve files or office materials.Ability to lift or carry light office supplies or documents (typically up to 15 lbs).Visual acuity required for reading, reviewing documents, and working with databases.Manual dexterity required for frequent writing and use of office equipment .WORK ENVIRONMENT :
