AVP, Construction Casualty - Wrap Up Underwriter

Join to apply for the AVP, Construction Casualty – Wrap Up Underwriter role at Zurich North America Zurich is seeking an experienced underwriter for our Account Construction team. The position can be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Denver and offers a hybrid schedule. You will be visible in the marketplace, meeting with agents, brokers, and customers, and will work out of the office / market three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
• Develop, maintain, and collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and business-related needs.
• Provide guidance to lower-level associates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to support business retention and acquisition, identifying insurance needs and providing solutions.
• Support the sales culture by serving as a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessments with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
• Qualify accounts to match the organization's appetite while ensuring sound business opportunity.
• Make broker / customer and on-site calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose.

Compensation

Nationwide market range : $130,000.00 – $215,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.

Location and Work Arrangement

Locations : Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver (Hybrid, remote working).

Schedule and Sponsorship
