Under this schedule, employees work 3 days the first week and 4 days the next, repeating on a rotating basis.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Quality Technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and conformance. Your primary responsibility is to perform a variety of inspection, verification, and containment duties to ensure that the products meet specifications and requirements. By evaluating parts produced on various lines and flagging suspect or nonconforming parts, you support engineering with containment processes and promote a culture of quality to minimize the number of defective parts.

Your Key Areas of Impact

Excellence in Product and Process Verification : Utilizing your expertise in quality assurance, you verify and document product and process conformance to company standards and requirements. This includes collecting and analyzing samples from finished goods prior to leaving the production plant, containing and reporting suspect products and processes not in control, and conducting measurement system analysis. This ensures that only high-quality products reach our customers, maintaining our reputation and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you verify, and document customer returned product to assist in identification of root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions.

Documentation and Reporting : You document and report discrepancies and measurement results. Your keen attention to detail and ability to analyze data will assist with root cause investigations for product and process issues, supporting the development and improvement of the work environment to reach targets for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Customer Parts Per Million (PPM), customer complaints, scrap, and other company and department measures. Your ability to accurately document and report helps to identify and address quality issues swiftly, minimizing production downtime and reducing costs associated with defective products.

Equipment and Process Monitoring : You monitor key equipment process parameters, maintain inspection, measurement, and test equipment within the department, and perform sample layouts for production part approvals. You also efficiently process audits and contamination control sampling to ensure ongoing production meets current quality standards. By ensuring equipment and processes are functioning correctly, you help maintain consistent product quality and prevent production disruptions.

Communication and Support : Effective communication is essential as you communicate emerging and trending quality issues to prevent negative impacts on production. Providing day-to-day production support on quality concerns and developing and implementing short / long-term countermeasures to quality problems is a key part of what you do. You work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written / verbal instructions to support production. Timely communication and support help in quickly resolving quality issues, maintaining smooth production flow, and ensuring high-quality output.

Problem-Solving : Leveraging your problem-solving skills, you address and resolve quality issues efficiently. Your proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential problems will help maintain high standards of product quality and reliability. Your effective problem-solving ability reduces the occurrence of defects, enhances product reliability, and improves overall customer satisfaction.

Professional Development and Qualification Maintenance : You maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies. Your commitment to continuous learning ensures you remain at the forefront of quality management trends and methodologies. Continuous professional development keeps your skills current, driving innovation and excellence in our quality assurance practices, and ultimately benefiting the organization.

Requirements :
