Responsibilities
Oversees payer revenue strategy and contracting for one or more assigned markets or strategic business segments, leading or participating in direct payer negotiations to achieve targets.
Formulates and implements contracting strategies for assigned geographic market(s) or assigned business segment(s) in Government Managed Care, Specialty / Horizontals, or Value-Based contracting.
Leads or participates in payer negotiation processes and major payer relations discussions.
Builds knowledge of assigned market(s) or segment(s) including Ascension's delivery footprint and the payer and competitive environment. Serves as a member of the Market or business segment's Leadership team.
Works to support and integrate with market or segment business plans and long-term strategies.
Monitors and analyzes payer net revenue financial performance in assigned market(s) or segment(s) in collaboration with ADSI Analytics, RCM / R1, and the Managed Care Payer Performance team.
Holds accountability to contribute to setting and achieving budget and three-year targets for payer lifts and revenue growth.
Oversees the design of development and implementation of value based care models and plans
Requirements
Education : High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership / management OR Associate's degree / Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership / management.
