Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $2,238 per week in Prescott, AZ

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12H Nights Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Active RN License Certifications : ACLS, BLS Must-Have : - IABP experience - CRRT experience - Fresh OHS experience Description : The position requires nurses to have more than two years of experience in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If a clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6 months. Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius and cannot be employed part-time or full-time with any associated facility within the past year. The unit has a bed capacity of 12 with patient ratios of 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 based on acuity. Nurses are responsible for titrating drips, including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, and Cardene. There is a 24 / 7 charge nurse or house supervisor available. Respiratory therapy is available in the ICU 24 / 7. Common equipment includes ventilators, BiPap, Cpap, Vapotherm, and HiFlow systems. Nurses are required to read telemetry strips. The schedule includes two weekend shifts per pay period, which may vary according to unit needs. Nurses may be asked to float to other units as required based on departmental needs. An additional requirement is to work holidays as outlined in the contract. Experience with Impella and the Cerner charting system is desired.
