Compliance Officer, RPS, South Bend, IN

Responsible for ensuring retirement plans are compliant with DOL and IRS regulations. Essential requirements include reviewing trust instruments and benefit plans to determine the bank's responsibility as trustee. Consults with external and internal customers on account preparation, document review, and general account supervision and servicing. Reviews accounts periodically to ensure conformity to current customer needs and objectives, recommending and making changes as appropriate. Answers questions from all levels of customer companies relating to the administration of employee benefit accounts. Reviews and recommends new account applications. Keeps informed of pending and changed legislation and regulations impacting the employee benefit trust field. Provides assistance in reviewing existing plans and suggesting worthwhile alternatives to satisfy customer needs. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position. Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position. Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

Non-essential functions include performing all other duties as assigned. Experience / skills include five to eight years of related experience preferred, working knowledge of ERISA and related regulations required, extensive experience with Relius required, working knowledge of investments preferred, knowledge of basic software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Internet), good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with all different departments and business entities, ability to prioritize, and strong time management skills.

Education : Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certifications : CRSP, QKA or QKC license required.
