The Project Engineer is a direct-hire position working at the HGA office in the Charlotte, NC region.
The Project Engineer performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations under the supervision of a Project Manager. The Project Engineer provides technical management assistance on projects. Assist in budgeting, man powering, scheduling, and forecasting projects as directed by a Project Manager. Manage small projects or certain aspects within large projects / programs with minimum supervision of a Project Manager.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of projects
- Assists in defining project scopes, goals, and deliverables
- Assists in defining project tasks and resource requirements
- Assists in developing full scale project plans
- Assemble and coordinate project staff for specific tasks
- Manage small project or task budgets
- Manage project resource allocation for assigned tasks
- Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and report to Project Manager
- Provide limited direction and support to project team
- Quality assurance
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project / assigned tasks
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
- Assist in implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Project set-up
- Development of proposals under the supervision of a Project Manager
- Participate in client on-site reviews
Requirements :
Project Engineer Qualifications :
BS degree in an Engineering field (i.e., Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil / Structural, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or Management)3+ years of relevant experience in an industrial facility is required; prior structured capital project development / execution and / or construction experience is preferredPulp & Paper industry experience preferred.Good writing and communication skills; excellent Computer Skills.Candidates must be able to travel as needed to client locations, and be able to actively work within all areas of client industrial facilities.Candidates should be within daily commuting distance of the Charlotte, NC region.#IND2
