Helpdesk Technician (Hybrid)

The role - what you'll do

Barr is seeking a help desk technician to join our Minneapolis, Minnesota, team. In this hybrid role, you will support Barr's information systems team, providing technical assistance to internal computer users across Barr's offices in the U.S. and Canada. You'll configure hardware, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and install and upgrade user computers.

A successful person in this role is detail-oriented, accurate, and timely in their work. They possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, superior task management abilities, and a customer service mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable assisting users with a range of computer abilities. They are also flexible and willing to occasionally work outside normal business hours or travel to other offices.

Your impact - key responsibilities

• Technical support : provide direct technical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring hardware, and installing / upgrading user computers.
• Hardware and software administration : administer and troubleshoot Windows and Microsoft Office 365 environments; install and configure Windows applications in a networked setting.
• User assistance : assist users with varying levels of computer proficiency, delivering exceptional client service.
• Task management : schedule, prioritize, and follow up on support requests to ensure timely resolution.
