Substitute Bus Driver Part-Time
Drive routes transporting students to and from school and to activity functions, assuring that the mission and philosophy of the district and department are supported. Part time on an as needed basis. Successful candidate will maintain State of Wyoming CDL license and follow its requirements including :
- Comply with and pass drug and alcohol testing
- Demonstrate a sincere interest in children and their welfare by providing a safe and courteous ride
- Observe and enforce school bus rules, reporting infractions in accordance with school district policies
- Operate various vehicles over specified routing, observing all laws, rules, regulations and policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, with the aid of approved device, for the vehicle prior to each departure and after return
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
- Report any safety hazards
- Follow emergency procedures
- Attend all required meetings and training sessions
- Be available on varied schedule for "snow days."
- Must be able to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Must know and apply laws, regulations, rules and policies governing operation of Wyoming school busses
- Implement safety practices
- Recognize mechanical problems
- Operate vehicles in all weather and driving conditions
- Must be able to learn and operate radio communication equipment and computer devices approved for pre-trip and data input
- Must be able to read and follow directions resulting in making work decisions
- Meet all Education, Licensing, Certification, and Training requirements
- Must meet Physical Demand requirements
- Must meet Environmental Demands
