Position Overview

SharkNinja is seeking a Principal Application Software Architect to serve as the technical authority guiding the design, scalability, and evolution of our application ecosystem across mobile, cloud, and connected devices. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned architect who can balance visionary platform design with pragmatic execution, ensuring our apps deliver secure, scalable, and seamless experiences that delight millions of global consumers.

As the Principal Architect, you will partner with engineering, product, and design leaders to define technical direction, establish architectural standards, and ensure SharkNinja applications are at the forefront of innovation, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect the Future : Define and evolve the end-to-end application architecture for SharkNinja’s mobile and cloud platforms, ensuring they are robust, modular, and designed for scale, security, and global growth.
• Technology Leadership : Act as the senior-most hands-on technical expert for application software. Provide architectural guidance, review designs, and solve complex technical challenges across engineering teams.
• Innovation & AI Integration : Partner with the VP of Software Applications and SVP of Software & AI to embed emerging technologies, including AI / ML and data-driven personalization, into SharkNinja’s applications.
• Platform Scalability : Ensure applications are designed for resilience, high availability, and seamless integration with IoT devices, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
• Standards & Best Practices : Establish and enforce coding standards, design principles, and architectural patterns. Drive adoption of best-in-class development frameworks, DevOps practices, and security protocols.
• Cross-Functional Partnership : Collaborate with product managers, hardware engineers, industrial designers, and UX teams to deliver applications that integrate with SharkNinja’s connected products.
• Mentorship & Technical Influence : Mentor senior engineers and architects, raising the technical bar across the organization. Serve as a thought leader for software craftsmanship.
• Global Collaboration : Partner with engineering teams across the U.S., China, and EMEA to ensure consistent architectural integrity and technical alignment worldwide.
