Mechanical Technician Opportunity

McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking Mechanical Technicians who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare.

Responsibilities :

• Work as part of a team tasked to assemble, install and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance and qualification testing.
• Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Perform simple or routine mechanical tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests.
• Operate and adjust simple test equipment.
• Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. to shoulder or above shoulder height.
